Frat bid numbers

Do fraternities have quotas? Fraternity rush is so different from girl rush.

Sigma chi has already given out 61 bids. There is no quota. But how do they issue bids if rush hasn’t occurred and there are to be no in person parties? Something doesn’t add up.

Most of the top fraternities have issued almost all of the bids they plan to before formal rush. They have summer parties and bid the guys they know already. Formal is for some last minute additions and guys they meet for the first time once school starts. It works different since guys can receive multiple bids and accept the one they like best. So in Sigma Chis case they may have extended 61 bids but it doesn’t mean they already have 61 pledges.

Sigma chi does have 61 pledges, that’s the number of kids who have accepted bids. Word is that sigma chi, kappa sigma, SAE, and phi delt have 30+ early bids and everyone else is struggling.

You heard correctly! Sigma chi and kappa sigma however will not participate in formal rush. They have the two highest amounts of bids. SAE and phi delt are right behind them but will continue with rush. Guess they have a few open slots. The rest of the frats will continue rushing.

You’re obviously not in the loop, the numbers are available to chapters online and we know who’s gone where. The group of 4 mentioned in the original comment are doing much better than everyone else right now.

Phi delta has way over 20. So does SAE. Only speak about things you know can be backed up by facts.
