What are PNMs thinking going into rush?

ZTA isn’t the only house that takes out of state, plenty of other houses do too! But there are some houses that if you don’t have those connections or are not a legacy, it can be really hard to get a bid there. ZTA, Pi Phi, Tri Delt, ADPI, and Phi Mu all love their out of state girls! As do the other houses, there are just not as many

So all this marketing to get freshman girls to rush is totally fake because the top three sororities don’t take out of state girls? Sounds kind of inbred-ish actually. Welcome to the south ya’ll

Zta isn’t the only house for out of state! Like that other person said, adpi, pi phi, ddd, and phi mu are also really accepting of out of state or non legacies! No need to worry about it!

Like others have said, every single sorority at state has taken at least one out of state girl during some point. Just because it might be uncommon in during a certain point doesn’t mean it can’t happen. It’s not “inbred-ish” and it’s not discrimination. sororities work hard day and night to find girls they think will be good representatives for their chapter

Every single top house has at least 20 to 25 OOS girls. It's just harder to get into them because there are so many in-state legacies for those houses (because lots of girls whose mom's went to ole miss are choosing to go to state now and dg, xo, and kd are all really strong there as well meaning legacies from ole miss and msu are wanting those 3 houses). there are just a lot of girls to look at! OOS girls are so important to a chapter but some houses just tend to take more than others. don't make this a negative thing about greek life to push a certain agenda. we have 8 houses for a REASON

Here we go! MS momma’s going cray cray trying to get their legacy house ranked up. All eight sororities at State are great. Every single one of them. Don’t let ranks direct your decision or you will be miserable if it’s not a good fit for you. Your gut and heart will lead you, correctly if you will allow it. From a recent graduate who wished I hadn’t listened to my home town “talk” and pledged what was considered a lower tiered house but didn’t want to offend the hometown ladies. Stupid decision

So there’s only one sorority that takes out of state girls? Is that a weird southern thing? Why bother rushing if sororities are going to discriminate
