Long term is correct.....for years now dg has been falling and phi mu has been improving. They have in fact switched places. It happens. Look back to 2011 pc. Phi mu rocked it. Dg, not so much. These girls are juniors and have continued to build by pledging great leaders and stellar involvement. Proof is on paper and talk around campus. Phi mu is a top 3.period. so sad that you can't be happy for them. DDD has also made great strides!! Look out dg.....they might pass you, too!!!

You're attitude is what bothers me. Phi Mu is not top 3, period. Do some people think they are, yes. Do others think they aren't, yes. I think it could go either way depending on what you're looking for. But the shameless self promotion that Phi Mu is doing is a problem. And calling out a sorority for getting "passed" is pretty low class. The fact remains that TRADITIONALLY and for many many many years, Chi O and DG were almost always 1 & 2 with KD being VERY close behind and rotating which one they were stronger than. Good for Phi Mu for stepping up, but 3 years of improvement doesn't change decades of a top 3. I wish Phi Mu could be happy with what they've accomplished without trying to assert their dominance over others. Bringing others down doesn't bring you up.

Phi Mu has improved however not into the top 3. Phi Mu does not conduct themselves with class as evidenced by their self promoting remarks and continual need to degrade other groups. This fact alone prevents them from being a top 3 group.

There seems to be way more putting down of Phi Mu on this board than them building themselves up. I don't think they are as worried about their "rank" as you seem to be! ;) I think they are enjoying college and their sisterhood while you and yours are sitting behind your computer tearing others down. That's what people see when they look on here -- grumpy, unhappy, jealous girls.

LBelle, I happen to see a lot of girl from 3 very strong sororities sticking up for each other when another decides which one to pick on for being this years easy target. It's no secret to the members of Chi O, KD and DG that Phi Mu is after one of their spots. Unfortunately for the girls in DG they've had a rocky couple of years and all Phi Mu has done is capitalized on that. But those of us in Chi O and KD know when it comes down to it, the top 3 is unchanging and while Phi Mu has been impressive they have also been catty and would easily jump on one of us at the latest scandal.

Please point me in the direction of "shameless self promotion" on here.I see incredible bashing of phi mu all over this feed. I happen to be a chi o (who prefers phi mu) and YES everyone at state knows these girls ARE leaders. I'm not sure who is so incredibly upset over who's 1234.
My point is to stop clumping chi o kd and dg altogether. State your own opinion with your own sorority. The 3 of us DO NOT all think the same! Phi mu has done nothing caddie or self promoting any more than kd or dg......so stop please!

There's a difference then in what people "at state" and people in hometowns think! Some sororities are not mentioned by our hometown girls nor the surrounding areas! Our girls leave here saying kd, phi mu, or chi o. And that's usually their pref. Top ranks are personal opinions not entire campuses...chill! If you polled the campus each one of our 8 groups would be 1st in SOMETHING! And sorry to burst your bubble but can you tell me why you think chi o and dg are "tops at state"? Backed by numbers please. Because academics isn't a reason , gpa is within 10ths of points for 1234. All sororities have numerous leaders, Christian girls, party girls and YES, mean girls. So please quit just blanket stating chi o and dg are tops. Everyone does not think that! Especially 6 other sororities and lots of hometowns ( large hometowns at that).

So clear that dg is desperately trying g to attach itself to 2 strong groups on campus.....you appear to be grasping!!!!

For the record, my comment about Phi Mu and self promoting is not linked to this website but is based more on the Phi Mus I am around daily and their comments and interactions. Due to certain campus activities I am around several Phi Mus for approximately 8 hours or more per week. Most of the self-promotion comes from them talking about how great they are and degrading other groups.

Wow so glad to hear you and some phi mu's are involved in the same activities....8 hours a day! Amazing.....when is class? Obviously they feel your a friend....hmmm. look who's bashing who.....do they know how you feel or are you being sneaky?

I don't think your remarks are entirely true. Just a little desperation at yet another bash to a lovely group of young ladies.

Once again, there are more than 4 sororities at this school. Frats love all 8 sororities and you shouldn't comment and praise only half of them. Greek unity at it's finest, y'all.

I agree with the person above me! Why can you not talk about the other groups as well! Every chapter from A-Z is great! We have no stand out weak chapter at this school.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to leave the others out. I was just trying to respond to all the bickering about these specific 4. Agree, there aren't bad chapters at MSU. But also let's not sugar coat things, these 4 are stronger all across the board. The others have strengths these don't, but also weaknesses these don't.

This particular post and the rankings pages clearly show that Phi Mu and Chi O are the two groups receiving the most hate during the few weeks after recruitment. Typically the groups that do well during recruitment and get the top classes receive the most hate. The number of negative comments toward these groups show exactly what was said during recruitment Chi O and Phi Mu did the best. As far as over all rankings I say Chi O and KD are tops, followed by DG and Phi Mu, then DDD and ZTA, final two Pi Phi and ADPi. All groups are very strong and represent their sorority well at MSU.

I'm not saying you look dumb because you got the quote wrong. You look dumb because, I thought, you were serious in your statement. I mean, you're right, there is no font for sarcasm. How was I supposed to know? And I NEVER said anything about sororities being better than others. Some have better reputations and some are more involved, but each sorority is great in itself. Greek life is, obviously, the best option.

Chi O/KD......KD hasn't had a great pc in 2 years!! Chi O for sure...great pc12! ! DG has had to give snap bids already...why? And PHI Mu...outstanding pledge classes since 2011 and everyone knows it! And so sorry to burst your bubble but DDD IS climbing!! All talk post recruitment was actually Chi O/Phi Mu for the past 2 years! When changes have been happening for 2 or more years it's time to own up! Stop living in the 2 year old past!

Phi Mu. For the record, it's fine to think you are above DG. Just back it up. DG has not given out snap bids in my 4 years here. If you want to make that claim, be accurate please.

Come on ... Phi Mu had an outstanding pledge class in 2011 and a very strong one in 2013 but NOT in 2012! Not sure how you think the 2012 class was great - definitely not! Chi O and KD have had outstanding pledge classes for three years in a row; 2011, 2012 and 2013. DG has had strong classes each year but not outstanding. DDD, ZTA, Pi Phi have gotten great girls and had strong pledge classes also. ADII did well during their first formal recruitment.

For the record, I am not phi mu. No need to back up my opinion.....it's my opinion. Just like this entire site. But just fyi , People think grades, size, and involvement make a group # 1 . In reality it's likability PLUS all of the other.... Some group are more likeable than others. My rankings stands.

That's fine, I wasn't commenting on any of your criteria OR your ranking if you actually read what I say. I said the snap bids comment was totally false. I don't see any reason for you to have said that when multiple sources and people can and have confirmed that it's just not true.
