I have to disagree. They’ve had phenomenal pledge classes the pst 3 years and this year’s pledge class looks practically indistinguishable from phi mu and DG’s. At this point, they’re definitely on a level higher than pi phi and Tri delt, so this makes sense to me. I’m not a zeta, I’m actually in a “top tier” house, but i keep seeing people say that zeta is on the bottom and that just doesn’t make sense to me.

Yeah I’m not really sure what campus you’ve been living on but i think there’s very few people who would say they’re still bottom tier.

Seems to be lots of Zetas on this site. I still see lots of girls in Zeta that distinguish them from top tier.

Zeta has lots of swaps - frats love to party with them. They have had solid rushes the past 2 years. They are not stealing people for KD or Chi O yet but they are taking some girls from DG and Phi Mu.

DG deserves to be in the top and zeta deserves to be in the middle with phi mu. I’m not in either house so i don’t even have a horse in this race but come on. It’s kind of absurd to even suggest that zeta is on the same level as pi phi or Tri delt anymore, and their past few pledge classes have been practically identical to phi mu’s in terms of looks, grades, and campus involvement. And to say that DG is no longer a top 3 house is ridiculous. Also, Tri delt and pi phi could/should trade places but I’ll just pick my battles.

Let’s not forget that zeta has the lowest chapter GPA and is lower than the average msu women’s GPA. So no, I wouldn’t say they are identical to phi mu

Over the past two years KD and Chi O have both been pretty impressive on campus:
KD 2018/19:

Derby Day Champs
Given National Award for being in the top 15% of KD chapters (top 16)
2nd in GPA
Chi O 2018/19:
Miss Mississippi State University (preliminary to Miss Mississippi)
HOCO Sophomore maid
SA Secretary
Given National Award as one of the top 5 Chi O chapters in the country
1st in GPA
KD 2017/18
Miss Maroon & White (Most Beautiful)
Derby Day Champs
Chi O 2017/18
Miss MSU (voted by student body)
HOCO Junior Maid
HOCO Sophomore Maid
Charity Bowl Champs
Both groups have members involved in Fashion Board, Diamond Girls, Road Runners, Maroon VIP, Spirit Groups, etc. Both have had fraternity sweethearts and members in honorary groups.
In my opinion when you compare KD and Chi O they are fairly equal. \n\n\n\n\n

Proof you don't go here: Miss MSU is NOT voted on by student. Only Homecoming Queen and King. And on campus, everyone sees a MAJOR difference between Chi O and KD.

Same could be said for other groups too! Those are very impressive years for KD and Chi O, but take DG for example:

Yes, I know DG had great years too but my comment was specifically in response to the comment about KD and Chi O. I almost did another post about all sororities but decided against it. I know Phi Mu has received an award for being the top fundraiser for LeBonheur and they have more Spirit Group members than any group on campus. I know Tri Delt is now the second highest fundraiser for St Jude’s which is absolutely amazing!!
Well you got me, I’m a recent alum. The complete selection of Miss MSU by a committee has been a VERY recent change. Part of my time at MSU it was a student body vote and part it was by committee. Feel better?
