I can name girls in each sorority with a high school GPA under 3.0 but they had strong connections to in house members, were a strong legacy, or had outstanding involvement.

It all just depends on who you are and if you're a legacy or BFF of someone already in the sorority. If that's the case, the 3.0 rule might not be set in stone. Every group takes exceptions.

If you were "Miss It On A Stick" in high school, but had a 2.9, don't worry too much about it. But, if you had a 2.4 and were in the sewing club....well, might want to explore options outside Greek Life.

It all really kinda depends on how low your grades were. For every tenth of a point below a 3.0 you go, you have to be that much better in activities & honors.
