As far as I know all sorority dues are broken down into monthly payments.

The housing dues are broken down into three months at about $600 a month. Then there is monthly dues that are about $160 a month.

If you can’t afford it, don’t rush. You’ll be taking someone’s spot that can afford it. These girls that borrow money to be in a social club are living in a dream world!

My parents actually take out extra loans to pay for my dues. We don’t live in a dream world. My parents were just nice enough to do that for me so I wouldn’t have to miss out on having that sorority experience. Neither of my parents went to college either, so it’s a big deal for them and they wanna make my college experience the best it can be. Just to prove that real people are behind your statements...remember the saying don’t judge a book by it’s cover?

Who is going to pay back the loan taken out to pay for your social club, you or your parents? It must be paid as soon as you graduate. It will be about $17,000 according to another post i read. That’s a lot to owe upon graduation.

That’s a ridiculous thing to imply. I was able to join a sorority and pay for it myself because it was monthly payments. Maybe by her asking, she can save money to pay.

To original poster, it’s monthly payments. First month or so is more expensive with iniatition fees. Also, once a member there are scholarship opportunities through Panhellenic as well as through your sorority. Definitely look into ways to help lessen the cost!

My parents just take out additional money when the do the parent plus loan so they’ll pay it off when they make payments on their parent plus loan! They’ll start making payments when I graduate but not all at once!!
