affordability

What if you get into a sorority and you can’t afford the house dues ($2800 a sem)on top of the $150 a month dues? Can you defer your membership until you save the money?

Maybe you should’ve thought about the cost before you rushed. Now you took someone’s spot in the pledge class that really wanted it and COULD afford it. People like you make me so sick.

Why didn’t you check the fees before you joined? It’s public knowledge.

Do not do this! There is no such thing as deferred membership. You would have to drop immediately if your house doesn't dismiss you first; no house floats members who can't pay. And you would put your house in a bad position of being down a new member and wasting a bid on you, and they would NOT appreciate this! Plus someone else who really wanted that bit and could afford it would be shut out. Don't be the girl that causes nothing but bad for all concerned.
