kd and large amounts of bids
by: NicoleIs it true that kd will issue a large amount of bids to one hometown? It was 12 a few years back but this year kd stands to give out around 20 to one town.

wrong - i know a ton of girls from Madison who got cut by KD the first or second day - rush was not at all what i expected but i'm still excited about this afternoon

5 or 6 years ago Phi Mu had huge numbers of Madison girls. I personally wanted to branch out from my hometown people but if they all want to stay together who really cares? Another personal thought is it hurts a sorority to take so many from one town but again I’m not going to be upset if it hurts KD.

They will HAVE to go to other sororities? Are you kidding me? KD is so arrogant to assume that everyone is going to desire them! I want to be in another sorority and it was my top choice, not KD! Haha! What a joke to think anyone has to go anywhere that isn’t KD. Y’all ain’t that special.

It is proven to hurt a sorority when they are hell bent on taking groups of friends from one hometown. It kind of strangles the sorority. Not every year will a quality group come through but they will expect a bid from KD. I’m a senior and I see KD doing this but I know this will hurt them in future years. You always should diversify. No more than 6 from a hometown should be taken.

KD may not be for everyone, but neither are any of the other houses. They are all great and attract different girls. Bashing one house because they had a good rush is not very Panhellenic at all. There were tons of great girls this year. Tons. Lots to go around!
There is more than 1 private school in Madison. And there are girls who live in Madison who go to Jackson private schools too. And girls who live in Jackson who go to Madison private schools.
Btw, there is a very large group of juniors in Phi Mu from Madison.
