what is social probation?
by: JessI just checked and MSU’s recruitment information online says that Phi Mu is on social probation for alcohol related issues. Does that mean no swaps or date parties AT ALL or just that they will be monitored to make sure no alcohol is around?

I’m actually not a Phi Mu.....I just meant that PNMs shouldn’t discount a house just because they won’t have social events for one semester out of eight.

Do you are saying it’s ok to make fun of s group that is in trouble for an unfortunate circumstance? Like an eye for an eye? That’s a mean girl attitude and not what Greek life should be about.

Phi mu’s can go to date parties that are hosted by frats or other sororities for that matter. Phi Mu just cannot host one in the fall semester nor can they participate in swaps during the fall semester. They can have sisterhood events and participate in all charity events etc.

Oh come on! You would make it a HUGE deal if it were another house. In fact you have done so!
Truth. Phi Mu will survive and be just fine but it’s a big embarrassment for a chapter. Period.
