rushing from out of state

Hey everyone...I'm planning on attending STATE next fall, but I'm coming from Los Angeles and therefore am not very well connected or wired-in with the greeks in Starkville. Should I anticipate a problem ? Does anyone have any tips or advice they could share to help me thru the fraternity rush process ? Thanks !

frats are pretty chill here so I don't think you have anything to worry about. just be yourself and you'll find which house you belong in

Thanks....Can you give me any tips or suggestions ? Do the men participate in formal recruitment upon arrival on campus in the fall or do they have a Summer Recruitment program ? If so, are there any benefits to participation during these summer events ?
