girls go through recruitment? I'm from the Chicago burbs and heading to MSU this fall. Wondering if their are many of us at MSU and if they end up joining a sorority. TIA

Being from one area doesn't really mean anything except all out of state is treated the same, which is different from in state girls. I know of a recent alum from dg that's from the Chicago area, so it's not like you won't get into a house just because you're from there.

There are quite a few girls from the Chicago area, but not all of them are greek. It's a crap shoot for the OOR girls.

Do houses have a number of spots set aside for OOR girls? Or is it more like a limit on the number of OOR girls for their house?

I'm not sure if there are maximums in place for all of the sororities but it wouldn't surprise me. They set limits on how many upper classmen there are, so it could be a thing for some of the more traditional "MS" houses.

What does OOR mean? Never have seen it on here before.

OOR = Out Of Region, meaning non-southern
OOS = Out of State, meaning not in MS but still in the south
