First of all, I thought the committee picks from applicants for Miss MSU then the student body votes. The maids are strictly picked by a committee. Second, if your parents are huge donors to the school, it makes sense that their daughter should win. I mean, mom and dad's money can buy votes and friends and make their daughter' slide perfect! She can live in her bubble forever!

There were several great competitors in the pageant this year. The winner, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners, and 3 other girls (the Zeta, DG, and Phi Mu) have all been to Miss MS before (or another state level pageant) and will definitely be there again this year, just representing another place. Congrats to everyone who placed and the winner because it was extra competitive this year!

I thought it was sweet how excited the Zeta and Phi Mu were for the winner. It's refreshing to see true happiness for someone else.

Ther'e's no election this year. A "committee" was established by the Student Association to interview people and that committee will pick Miss MSU and Mr. MSU
