tattoos

by: CD

I have a very visible tattoo on my arm of a rose. You can definitely see it when I wear sleeveless dresses or shirts. Will I be judged for this during rush next year? Do sororities accept girls with visible large tattoos? I'm sorta regretting getting it if it keeps me from having a social life at State.

I know more houses are having girls with tattoos, nose piercings, etc. It's more of what the tattoo is than if you have one or not. I don't think majority of houses will have an issue with it. But if you'd prefer, you can use tattoo make up for it.

I'm in a top house and we have a large number of girls with at least one tattoo. Most are very small and easily covered up though. If it's a giant tattoo down you're arm it might be a disadvantage like above poster said it's just not very professional. Rush is like an interview and I would probably cover it up! But that's up to you. Some houses might think it's tacky some might think it's cool. Just depends so it's you're call. I would personally cover it up but I also would never get a tattoo in the first place

You're post was fine until you said "I would never get a tattoo in the first place." She didn't ask about your personal preference

Who cares? I'm allowed to share my own opinion. I added it in because I might be baised about covering it up since I'm not keen on having tattoos anyways.

This is so stupid.
I have a giant tattoo on my arm and it was something that was special to me and had special meaning to me and I was excited when girls in houses would ask me about it and respond positively to it.
My tattoo is special to me, I wanted the house that I pledged to understand why it was special to me and love me regardless of how huge or weird it was.
And I found a house that recognized that my crazy tattoo was a part of me and loved me anyway.

I think the point is that in the future, your employment will be limited due to a decision you made at 16-17 years of age. It's a matter of maturity.

I don't remember her asking about her employment opportunities? And this site is the last place I would take employment advice anyways

Girl you are planning to rush at MSU. This is a hornet's nest of judgmental Mom's that run the show. Set you expectations based on this. There are four maybe five houses that will drop you day 1. You made a choice and we will make a decision.
