to zta - congrats on a great recruitment

by: PanLove

All this hate being directed toward ZTA is pathetic. And very transparent. ZTA got a great pledge class. Will there be some behavior issues with their new girls? Yes, probably. Will most of us have incidents occur with our new pledges? Yep, no doubt. I have worked closely with many ZTA's in various organizations on and off campus. I consider them my friends. They are in no way what you describe. Everyone keeps perpetuating this "party girl" rep to keep ZTA down. Let us all go enjoy our new pledge classes. Any problems with pledges (from any chapter) will be evident soon enough. And no, I'm not a ZTA. Actually, I'm a Phi Mu. See, our "mean girl" rep doesn't apply to all of us either.

I still think that HS seniors need to see and hear how it is perceived when they act out in these disgusting and self harming ways. I know for a fact that there are zetas from my HS that brag and glorify the fast life they live. That's the point of this conversation about sorority-worthy living. I hear the younger girls back home discussing how these girls drink all the time, always hangout late night with frat guys, take liquor shots off of their body parts, and take less than flattering pictures for social media in order to gain followers and likes. It's unrealistic and it only attracts girls that party all the time, which also means they will most likely drop out of their sorority when mom sees the grades. The whole conversation is a warning.

This is so funny (well laughable, actually). If you felt the need to issue a Public Service Announcement to keep these poor unsuspecting high school girls from being led astray by such a devilish group of women, why didn't you issue your "warning " before recruitment? Before ZTA got a great pledge class. Oh, right....you weren't worried about them then - neither the girls nor ZTA.

It's laughable that someone pretending to be a co-ed is so upset over these zeta posts. Go to bed, mom!

@Hey Mom!

No, I'm not a mom. But, I think your use of the term "coed" indicates that you likely are, lol

I'm a coed cheerleader. Does that make me a mom?

I think you're just being funny....but, you do understand the difference, right? The poster above used co-ed to mean a female student and a coed team or organization refers to one which has both male a female members. One usage of that term is fairly outdated and the other is in common use. I know you know which is which, lol. Again, you don't need to tell me to chill, I assume you were just being funny, but others may not understand the reference.
