zeta/wild girls
by: EdithThis post is to address what I see as Zeta becoming the "party girl" sorority. I am in another Greek organization. I graduated from HS 2 years ago so these girls that have rushed the past 2 cycles are girls I know. The HS we all went to is large and has many Greek ties. For all of those ties, last year, two of our popular girls went Zeta. They didn't want to but with variable quota they had no choice other than drop. Zeta was their last house and they preffed no other. This past rush, 4 girls, not as popular, went Zeta, all from this same school: one thing they all had in common was that they all were very wild in high school. They had videos, text messages, and outrageous social media pictures and private message pictures. Zeta seems to offer these kinds of girls bids year after year. This is giving them a wild party girl reputation and not in a good way. These girls also pose academic and retention risks. It's great that zeta is building its numbers but it's costing zeta it's reputation.

Instead of posting gossip why don't you schedule an appt to go over to the Zeta and Pi Phi houses and share your concerns and possible solutions with them? I know it would be done with the kindest Panhellenic feelings ipossible. And I am sure they would appreciate you caring so much about them, especially since you are a member of a more desirable group, so have so much you could teach them, like how to recruit the beautiful, angelic, Christian virgins that your chapter is filled with.
