chi o cheating???

by: Cammy

What do I do? I witnessed a chi o tell a girl who is a legacy to a top sorority to cut that sorority to guarantee her going chi o. Then I find out they cut me. I still have the other three houses that I want. Is this a normal practice and is it legal? I heard this is something they do often. Who do I tell? I'm sick to my stomach over this. I thought it was against Panhellenic rules.

Did they tell you this? Your post is confusing. Tell your gamma Chi and pray she is not a chi O or ask to speak to someone at Panhellenic in the Union. Hopefully the girl or you didn't cut the other house.

I heard the chi o tell her to do this. I asked my friend about it and she confirmed that she was told to do so. And she did. I do not want to report it because I am scared that word will get out that I am a troublemaker. I really want to at least have a good shot at the other three sororities. I am very disappointed that this happened. I thought Chi o was The leader on campus and main rule follower. I am in shock!

Then leave it alone until after rush then report it honestly with the friend. Chances are Chi O will not offer your friend a bid in the end anyway.

TBH it sounds like you are trying to cause trouble since they cut you, especially since you ran to this totally on the up and up website. My guess is you are a mom or alum from another group looking to hurt Chi O. Any mature PNM would go straight to their gamma chi not this website.

I am not a fake person. I'm scared and don't want to get into any trouble or drama.

Really ? You put that much confidence in your Gamma Chi, when they are in a sorority also ?

From my observations over the past couple of years, it seems that Chi o does this a few times every rush. Why don't they ever get into trouble? I keep seeing and hearing of things that they do but they never get in to trouble.

Good chance every house does something similar. People enjoy posting about Chi O because they have to make the biggest cuts.

Talk to your friend and if she wants to report it, y'all both can go report. And if you don't want backlash, you can report after bid day. But I wouldn't discuss any further details to protect yourself and your friend. More it's talked about the more outrageous people can be.

Why does Chi O have the least amount of spots to fill ? Don't they want the smarter girls on campus ?

Variable quota is based on chapter size. Chi O has the most members so must take fewer new members.

If this is true, and as of now it is hearsay, it does bring up the point that chi o mysteriously is never reprimanded for their wrong doings when everyone else is held to a high standard.

Chi O cheats so bad every year and they bid promise girls but no one ever reports them. You need to report this to Jackie, the head of panhellinic, because they cannot do that. It is %100 against the rules. It can also be confidential if you tell Jackie mullens. Just go straight to the top.
