Most pnm were sent a letter telling them what area of grades they were in. Red zone means you will be cut by most. Don't act like this is new news. Some if you live in denial that there are good sororities that don't want you.

Does that mean about half of the PNMs have a GPA lower than 3.3? That seems weak to me.

No... they said MOSTLY gpa like if you are under there GPA cut off you are out regardless of anything else. THEN the top 3 have to make more cuts which is peobs based on not have a recommendation letter / no one knowing them, THEN they cut Mississippi girls with horrible reps. Not JUST grades but a large number comes from that

The only house making "deep cuts" should be Chi O. DG and KD have 20 less and Phi Mu only has 3 more members than DDD and only 10 more members than Pi Phi with Zeta not too far behind. So unless DDD, Pi Phi, and Zeta all had so many more not return this year, Phi Mu should have similar cuts to them, not the Chi O, KD, DG.

Cuts are made based off return rate. The PMN's ranked yesterday and those four houses had the highest return rate among the PNM so thus the "deep cuts."
Quota on the other hand will be established by chapter size. Pledge classes will be smaller because there are 100 less girls going thru. History shows some will drop throughout the week also. This may actually speed up the balancing process we are going through to get all houses to the same membership number.
Two different topics and based on different information that is all part of the system we call Variable quota.

Which part is false? Return rate determines cuts. Chapter size determines quota.

Umm idk where you got those numbers from but they're wrong.
Chi O will have the smallest PC this year as they are the biggest chapter. KD/DG/DDD all have a quota set in the 90s because they are the same size as far as membership goes. Phi Mu and Pi Phi and zeta are right after that and they can go into the 100s along with ADPi. And it's right by saying that quota is set on numbers. They larger the chapter, the less girls they can take in a PC to give smaller houses a chance to pick up quality girls. My house can get into the hundreds because we aren't the size of like Chi O others. Everything is based on a numbers.

Continuous Open Bid. It allows the sorority to invite girls into the sorority anytime if they open spots. They are usually given to girls who know alot of the sisters.

Smaller sororities do not cut as much now- they need numbers. The larger 4 had to cut almost half of the girls, using grades as the main indicator.
