if and when to drop

If you accept a bid from a house, then you are bound to that house for one year (you cannot rush the next year). If you want to try to rush again, then you have to drop during rush.
However, I agree with those above. Give the house that you are offered a chance but make your decision before initiation. Initiation is a sacred thing and once you are initiated, you are tied to that sorority forever. You can never pledge another sorority AT ALL. It makes me FURIOUS to see girls drop right after initiation.

She is probably asking because of how many people on this site say they had bad a experience or were shocked when they were dropped and left with a house they didn't feel great about.
It's a valid question.
@OP - everyone's situation is different and I personally think a lot of the girls who dropped during rush regret it. The grass is always greener on the other side.
