match ups

Do houses intentionally match pnms with certain actives? During orientation another incoming freshman was talking about who she hopes she will be matched with during rush in some of the houses.
I am oos so clearly not in the loop. How and why is this done?

Not sure if every single house matches, but I know at least 5 that do. We try to match girls with similar interests and personalities, or someone bold with someone shy to try and bring their personality out, etc. We want you to feel like your kind of people are in our house so we'll try to introduce you to them. If you don't know anyone in the house then you'll be matched best we can off your resume, so it maybe hit or miss if you "click" with the girl you're talking to. So keep that in mind if you feel like you had a dud convo at a house. There are soooo many more members and not hitting it off with one or two girls doesn't mean you won't feel at home there once you meet everyone.

@Yes is correct, however, it's very difficult matching up far away oos girls. Sometimes it's a crap shoot. We mostly try to match our top pnms with actives we know will shine.

I'm oos and only met a few girls during orientation so there is no way the sororities know me or my personality. They'll be totally guessing with me :0 I fear it will come back to bite me that I am sooo oos.
