how fancy of a dress

by: Dresses

So, on the first day of recruitment we are given a shirt to wear, but on the remaining days no shirt is given. How nice/formal of an outfit should we wear each day? Progressively fancier as the week goes on? Also, do we wear heels/wedges on the last day only? Would me wearing nice sandals on the other days with a cute dress be inappropriate? Thanks

I plan on wearing cute sun dress type until pref, then a little nicer. Would love to hear back from Actives.
Why did they change it to only 1 day of tees?

I would wear progressively nicer clothes each day. The first day you'll have the tshirt so I'd wear a cute pair of shorts and sandals. The second, I think a cute romper or even overall shorts or an overall dress would be appropriate! Something a step up from a tshirt but not too fancy. The next day I would wear a boutique type sundress and sandals or wedges. And on pref, a nice dress with heels. These are just my opinions based on what my friends from other schools have worn in the past during recruitment

You also should be aware that your party list could get crazy, especially with you having all 8 parties your first day so wear shoes that you can walk in. Some parties can run late and you might have to go from one side of the row to the other and that can be difficult if you can't walk. Also be aware that it will be miserably hot. It's horrible every year. As for the attire, it gets fancier as the week goes and pref is definitely the fanciest. Dress and heels for pref! As long as you're cute, comfortable, and yourself you'll be fine!

My recommendations are
Day 1- cute shorts and flats ( I don't recommend pants because it's the middle of august and I don't recommend wedges because you'll be on your feet for hours)
Day 2- dress or shorts would still be fine for this day. Flats are also acceptable but wedges are a thing too.
Day3- a dress and flats or wedges
Day 4- nice dress and heels.
Bid day- shorts and a Shirt and comfortable shoes THAT YOU CAN RUN HOME IN !!!!!
I hope this helps a little more. I think they will also give you more information at your orientation and you could always ask your gamma Chi when you get them!

They have already picked their pledge classes. Be yourself and be comfortable and hopefully you will find your perfect home.
