Impressive history for their chapter and the Miss Mississippi pageant. In the past eleven years they have had 5 members or alums crowned Miss Mississippi.

Eeh, as much as you want it to the formal deal didn't drop them from a top spot. There is zero way you can judge a drop until after recruitment and fall semester. Wait and see what happens. Two Miss Mississippis in a row from one chapter is honestly pretty cool.

The 2016 and 2015 Miss mississippis were phi mu alums from MSU's chapter

True. 2015 and 2016 Miss Mississippi, USAs were MSU Phi Mu alums. This post is about Miss Mississppi, MAO (Miss Americs Organization) who crowned a winner Saturday night. 2016 was an MSU Chi O alum and 2017 is a MSU Chi O active. I'm not sure if you were sharing information or were confused by the post. Either way it's great for both chapters.
