recruitment clothing

After reading the panhellenic sorority recruitment information, I'm still not sure what what the "dress code" is during rush week. Can someone let me know if all days are dressy or if it varies day by day. Thanks!

That's exactly right. For the first 3 days, you will be given a t-shirt to wear. Plan to wear cute shorts or a mini skirt and very comfortable shoes because you do a lot of walking. For pref, wear a nice dress, like something you would wear on a date or to church on Easter. Bid day is crazy so wear shorts and you will immediately be given your sorority's letter jersey to wear so it does not matter what you have on! The only thing you really need to worry about buying is the dress for pref.

Whatever you pair your t-shirts with ust make sure it has personality to it. Some girls roll in on Go Greek wearing Columbia shorts and chacos because that's who they are, and they're getting bids to every single house on the row. But if you're a Lilly girl then wear that with cute sandals. Just match it to who you are so that you're comfortable and displaying your personality. If you're into accessories and/or shoes, especially if you don't know at State, wear something that will stand out. We meet about 800 girls in all, so if we have something easy to remember you by it helps.

It does not matter what you wear to rush. Where you pledge is primarily based on who you know and who is willing to fight for you when cuts start. Be yourself! Understand you do NOT cut each night. Only the houses cut. You will receive invitations back to houses that you put at the bottom of your list. In the end, if you find a house that you love and they extend you a bid, congratulations, you are home.
If you choose to drop or don't receive a bid, congratulations, you have the opportunity to be on a wonderful college campus where there are dozens of other opportunities and --- you are home!

It says on the registration information. "The recruitment fee is $115. This includes one tshirt to wear on the first day of recruitment."

Most wear nicer shorts. Denim shorts are fine, too, but should not be too short or ripped up and no cut-offs. I wore miniskirts twice but it's kind of hard to sit in them. You will see a lot of Lilly Pulitzer type shorts. As long as it's not too short or tight, it's OK. Best idea is probably a cute pair of shorts with the t-shirts tucked in loosely and a cute belt if there are belt loops. Can't go wrong there.
