by: PNMWhy do people always say "phi mu are the only ones who think they are a top house" or things like this? I'm not saying I think they should be or not because I don't know. But why aren't they a top house?

Chi O, DG, KD and phi mu usually are the most active on campus and cherry pick the best MS girls from large towns. They constantly bicker and compete with each other for PNM and try to put each other down.
Currently with variable quota and scandals involving these houses..... they are becoming more equal.

This comment is a perfect example of why everyone says "only Phi Mus think they are a top house"! Phi Mu is 4th in grades. 4th in size! Their number of members shows they struggle with retention (see chapter size on Panhellenic scholarship webpage). They are involved but only strongly involved in Senate. They see themselves as equal but KD, Chi O and DG only compete with them for specific PNMs each year. If you divide the houses in half 4/4, then yeah they are a top house. That's not how things fall though. And no, scandals aren't going to have any true effect on recruitment. Variable quota only helps even out size not dominance.
