perks of each "tier"
by: To all pnms
Perks of being in a top house: status- you're in a sorority that is highly involved within the Greek community and in student organizations. You'll have a better chance of getting involved in competitive organizations at MSU. You'll also be more recognized by some fraternities (like sigma chi and kappa sig) if that matters to you
Perks of being in a lower tier house: you will be able to gain leadership positions in your sorority as early as your second semester in the sorority, which doesn't happen as often within the top houses. You will have friends from so many states within the US rather than having a majority of mississippi girls. That is extremely helpful with oos girls because it's easier to make friends when none of you know anyone coming in. You can still get involved in campus organizations it's just more difficult without the connections top houses have. You're recognized just as easily by fraternities other than sigma chi and kappa sig (like I said before this might not matter to you but maybe it does)
The reason I say these things is not to encourage you to choose top over bottom or vice versa, but to encourage you to stick with whatever house you get. There are perks to being in either tier so please go into recruitment realizing this! Keep an opened mind and please don't drop a house without giving it a chance!

I disagree. The perks are like this.
Top tier: you will make friends that will last a lifetime and do work for awesome charities
Middle tier: you will make friends that will last a lifetime and do work for awesome charities
Lower tier: you will make friends that will last a lifetime and do work for awesome charities
