where you get in depends on hometown
by: HometownI don't care what anyone says about rush. This is the truth: girls from established hometowns who know girls already in the sorority get bids from the "top houses." The "bottom tier" houses are made up of small town and out of state girls and a few rejects from cities. Especially with the new quota. It has very little to do with "quality" despite what everyone says. That's the reason the lower houses have a few more bad seeds because there were no members who knew them beforehand. The majority of all sororities are made up of girls with equal GPA and high school involvement. I already know there will be negative comments so bring them on but it's the truth. If you deny it you are an idiot.

I absolutely understand and agree to some extent, however, as many people have stated before...this is college, not extended high school.
You made very valid reasoning why so many are MS and surrounding area girls in "top tier" sororitys. That said, I wish there was more pan love instead of bashing. Especially since most of the 70-80 spots are already spoken for, I really don't see the need for the bashing of middle or lower tiered houses.
I wish all the PMNs the best of luck this coming fall!!!
