two houses on probation?????
by: AnchorSo is dg on social probation too bc I heard FROM a dg that a girl had to be taken away in an ambulance from their date party bc she was so drunk?????
#2 by: Not saying
it isn't true, but I live with 2 DGs (my self and our 4th room mate are in different sororities) and I haven't heard about anything happening. It could be a rumor. OR this could be a message to every sorority that even ONE member messing up will now cause serious consequences and it could happen to any of us.

A Jr in dg did go to the hospital after a function but they aren't on probabtion bc they didn't commit any felonies, steal anything, or destroy property. Also she was over 21 so no laws were broken. Their standards chair did threaten to take functions away next semester because of this behavior, but the only trouble they're in is with their president and standards. Not with nationals, the university, or the law. Don't even try to compare this to chi o. But it was a good try

Girls getting drunk in college is normal. Pretty much every sorority has had a girl needing to get medical help at some point because of alcohol related things. I could go down the list and point out all the instances over the past few years but that would take way too long. The girl was taken to the hospital as a precaution, she was basically just told to sleep it off and given water and then released. She was within legal lines of alcohol consumption and of legal age. Personally I think it was a good call. I see lots of girls ignoring their sisters who could be in potentially dangerous situation due to drinking but ignore it because they don't want to get in trouble or draw attentions to themselves. She was quitely taken to make sure she was okay and the function continued with no other complaints. I don't see that as a house falling but showing how to handle a situation in a responsible matter and looking out for your sisters despite the speculation that may follow by taking such percauarions. Girls drink, sometimes in college you accidentally go over board but I'm thankful she had people who cared enough to stop it before the situation escalated and made sure she was okay. That is completely different then stealing, vandalizing, and damaging a venue and assualting a cop. Not that I think chi o should be burned at the stakes for it, and they won't, but comparing the two situations is stupid.
