I think the most important thing about this article is money donated, not that alumni interaction isn't important but money donated directly to philanthropy is such a huge thing!

Funds donated through the Phi Mu Foundation to 501(c)(3)s: $77,000
Funds donated through the Chi Omega Foundation to 501(c)(3)s: $85,971
Funds donated through the Alpha Delta Pi Foundation to 501(c)(3)s: $120,957
Funds donated through the Delta Delta Delta Foundation to 501(c)(3)s: $264,508
Funds donated through the Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation to 501(c)(3)s: $384,039
Funds donated through the Kappa Delta Foundation to 501(c)(3)s: $414,793
Funds donated through the Pi Beta Phi Foundation to 501(c)(3)s: $522,696

We should be so proud to have these groups that give so much at MSU!

Great info. But for most sororities "Foundation" money is not for philanthropic efforts ... it is used to promote and grow the sorority.

Also some groups are required to pay Foundation dues throughout there life as an alum ... DG is one of those hence their large Foundation fund. Not knocking them but it does skew the money amounts.

is higher because Service for Sight is funded from the Foundation. Other sororities sponsor outside philanthropies (like DDD goes to St. Jude and Chi O to Make A Wish). DG supports an internal Service for Sight, so it's 1 # not 2 separate #s. Either way, a lot of great sororities funding a lot of great philanthropies!

that the money donated means more than the number of Twitter followers. On behalf of Pi Phi, their Foundation helps support the Settlement School in Gatlinburg and Pi Beta Phi Elementary, as well as the Housing Corporation and the overall Fraternity as a whole.
