Do not think about pledging Chi Omega at Mississippi State. They are on social probation due to several incidents at their formal. Infractions include:
Public intoxication
Theft of merchandise greater than $5000, a misdemeanor
Minor in possession
Over abundance of an alcoholic beverage leading to emergency room visit/ stomach pumped
Assaulting a law enforcement officer
Also, the national officiating board of Chi Omega Sorority has had meetings with the executive board of this chapter and its alumni along with university leaders and durectors.
If Chi O walks away with only social probation, which it should have a much harsher penalty, it will have NO SWAPs, formal, date parties, semi formal, ect for a year.
Let's see how the university handles this.

@Krista do you know how long the social probation is?
Also, several girls were given University referral. Will that have an impact on punishment? MSU better take a stand. They need way more than social probation in my opinion. Take away formal rush and Chi O exec should be held accountable.
Also, theft of $5000 is only a misdemeanor? That should be a felony...what kind of person(s) think that is ok to do? Shameful...their alum Mom's should be horrified.

Chi O is not "still on top" and has never been "top" except to its members who say it over and over again. They are top tier, along with KD and DG. Some people prefer KD, some DG, and some Chi O. But stop with the theory that Chi O is alone at the top - they are not and just as many people dislike them and do not want to be a part of that group. They push their "values" and that they don't drink and party as much as KD and DG, and that is how they get a lot of new members. I don't know what they will push now because there's no way to avoid that they had the wildest pledge class of all and their new members partied heavier than even the so-called "wild" sororities like Zeta. Sorry, Chi O, no way to spin out of this one.
