bid promising

by:

Chi o, if you're gonna start promising your high school friends bids already at least do it in private. Not everyone wants to hear how you can't wait for her to be your sister next year while you're showing her around campus.

And they will never be called out for it! They cannot be touched.

I think Panhellenic should showcase the fines that each chapter acquires throughout the year. There are some chapters that follow all of the rules religiously and get no recognition. And those that break the rules get fined and that's the end of it

Fines won't stop a thing. The chapters that are fined just laugh , pay it and do it again. It's just money. I don't really think Panhellenic cares about whether the rules are followed or not. If they did, they would change the consequences.

I wholeheartedly agree with this. I'm in one of the top sororities. We had not ONE infraction last year. We were the only one that was run cleanly. The director of Greek life came and congratulated us but it was never discussed outwardly at all. No ither group knew how clean we ran rush, Other large groups made obvious infractions, paid the fines, laugh about it and continue on, acting pious about it all.

You are not the only chapter that ran a clean rush. My chapter didn't pay a single fine or have any problems.

Where can I find the Panhellenic rules about what warrants getting fined?

By: Rules
by: Hi

Panhellenic, chapter president, recruitment chair and/or head chapter advisor/recruitment advisor.

If you're a current member you should know the rules. If you are a mom or alum it's not your business, IMO.

My parents pay my sorority dues. I discussed some of the stuff that was done last year to break Panhellenic rules. You can say I shouldn't but I have a pretty open relationship with my parents since they generously pay my bills. They were pretty disgusted that a group would openly break rules only to just pay a fine. Aren't we here to serve others in our philanthropy, not use money to pay D A M N fines?

Then tell your parents to call Panhellenic and fuss.

Don't fool yourself, almost all groups break some rules whether on purpose or not.

What you so mad about? No one is getting on to you. Unless you are the one breaking the rules. Calm down girl.
