kd marriages

by:

What is up with all of these KDs getting engaged at 19-20? Who in their right mind knows what or who you want at such a tender age? You just left your mom's house where she did everything for you. How are you ready for married life? And how will a boy that age take care of you? He isn't working yet. Who do you think bought your ring? It wasn't him!!!
I love that I am free to date around and decide who is right for me. I am in school to get a degree so I can support myself. That way when I marry, I will be established and can focus on building a shared life- not dependent on our parents. Good luck, children getting married too young!!! Way to teach them, KD!

I'm not even a KD but this is ridiculous. Getting married young isn't something taught by a sorority and if you think a sorority has that much power than you're ignorant. That's something that's taught while you grow up. Them getting married young isn't having any effect on your life at all. You know nothing about them obviously. If someone wants to get married, cool. If someone wants to wait, that's cool too. Don't knock someone else's happiness that they've found the one they love just because you haven't yet.

I'm not a KD either but Good Grief, what concern is it of yours? None. Period. Why can't people mind their own dang business? Use your time and energy for something good in this world and not the personal life of others. Or at least seems like you should be busy establishing yourself, working on your degree, and dating around.

Stay in your own lane.

I think the point of the original al past is that there seems to be a larger than normal amount of girls getting married while in college. Maybe for some reason there is a concentration of this happening in KD. Nationally, the chances of a marriage lasting more than 5 years when the bride/groom is 20 is very low. You are correct in that it is no ones business. Since no names were mentioned, I feel that the OP was merely showing concern for what is a huge commitment at such a young age. Also, maybe some girls put pressure on the girls not looking for marriage. That has happened too. Like we say, to each his own.

It seems that it is a red neck country thing to want to marry so young. Why'd you even go to college?

Why is everyone so concerned with girls marrying young? It's not their life. Stop being petty and enjoy your life like they are theirs.

I will put money down that the person defending collegiate marriages is the girl getting married at 20 or a mother of one. And it does sound pretty judgemental of you to lump together the drunkards, gossipers, overeaters, etc., as sinnerss that need to ask for forgiveness but a fornicator shouldn't. To avoid this lustful sin, you will promote a union that will most likely fail. I can't stand judgemental people. This is college. Many people sleep together, go to church and read their bible. They talk to God and may or may not ask for his forgiveness. That doesn't make them any more or less a sinner. However, not recognizing how your judgement of people hurts them makes you a hypocrite. That's why this entire marriage crap Is so stupid and dumb. You are just driving up the divorce rate and making us all look bad. Also, try speaking to someone you feel you are "better" than rather than speak at them. They are becoming just as educated as you so therefore have a higher level of intelligence than you assume. You may find them to be "Christ-worthy" just like you see yourself.
