Almost every sorority requires a minimum of one year living requirement. At ms state, those liveins are split between hathorne hall and the sorority house. You are required to live in the house for 1 year, but can be excused for a few different reasons. Exec has to live in the house, then they fill it with juniors who haven't lived there yet, and the remaining spots go to sophomores based on GPA, then alphabetically. I like that it is a mix of pledge classes because you get to meet girls you normally wouldn't spend a ton of time with unless you already knew them.
