If you are miserable in your chapter, have you reached out to your chapter leadership? I think you need to reach out and give them an opportunity to help you. I guarantee, every girl can make friends in every house. With 275+ women, not every member is exactly the same. All chapters have the diversity that allows for you to find your place. Also, you have been a member one semester. Not every person accepting a bid will have the magical bid day, or even first semester. Most members don't find their place until time passes. You haven't given the chapter a true opportunity to show you what they have to offer. You don't know every member, you haven't seen every event. It is entirely too early to judge and say negative things. Don't write any organization off after one semester when you have 7 more that you could be a member.

It's not open rush this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's formal spring recruitment. Everyone except DG and Chi O are expected to participate because they're under chapter total.

Ok so someone tell the truth. The execs at KD and PhiMu should know if they are having spring recruiting?
And it does stink if they are. I have lots of friends in both of those houses and was cut on pref and told I had to put both houses that I went to on my pref card.... and ended up in a different house. Was told it was just where the numbers fell???
I don't understand the madness but am an active now and wish I had realized if I had waited a semester I could have possibly pledged a different house 😞
Variable quota victim

Not sure if KD or Phi Mu are participating, but keep in mind those 2 houses plus Chi O and DG haven't taken a spring class in at least a decade. So it would be extremely unusual for them to this year and would definitely show that variable quota didn't work out how Panhellenic hoped. So no one could have known at the time that you might have a chance to pledge a different house because normally only one, maybe two, chapters take a spring class.

Except if you attended pref night and ranked both houses, you would have waited until next fall to rush again.

See I wish my gamma chi would have at least given us an honest answer. Was all but forced to attend pref and list both houses. Do not come from a Greek background and I had no clue. Wish I had known then what I know now. Several houses had snap bids or bid additions and now spring recruitment .... no clue that I could have gone suicide or withdrew.
Maybe I can get rich writing a guide to rush week....

if you dropped during the week I am fairly certain you have to wait until the fall to try again. Only girls that can partcipate in spring recruitment are girls who did not go through fall recruitment or were released from all houses.

With the disaster of fall rush if only those who withdrew are eligible and they withdrew because they didn't want Zeta ADPi or Pi phi why offer spring rush?
Will be curious to see how many participate.
Also will be curious to know if variable quota will count in sprin reqruitmwmt. If so ... 90% will be forced into ADPi

I was "forced to go ADPi" and honestly it's the best thing that's ever happened to me. I love the girls there and I feel so at home. But when you talk about my sorority like that you hurt our recruitment. We're the smallest chapter and people like you keep beating us down because you don't see how far we've come. It takes a while for a sorority to get established.
So for the love of God keep my sorority's name out of your filthy mouth if all you're going to do is bash on us.
Also I've seen you on other discussion forums bashing ADPi. Get a life maybe? Sorry rush didn't work out for you? You had the opportunity to pledge any house that ASKED YOU BACK so its not the system's fault.

Understand that ADPi released many girls in the fall ( low grades, questionable reputation etc ) they are building a solid group of young women and will continue to be selective. They are a great group of young women and are top tier at most SEC schools. Will take time at MSU

Also, with as many failed classes that the freshmen class had there will be a ton of academic probation. Are Phi Mu and KD going to have spring rush to minimize the impact of bad grades and those who go inactive because they won't attend study hours?
Best kept secret of variable quota, the out of state girls and small town girls that went bottom tier because of poor inhouse connections will most likely have better grades.
