tiers
by: MSU
You know, my house isn't ""top tier,"" & I honestly don't care. According to this website, my house is ""mid-upper tier"". But WHO CARES?! I joined my house because I love our philanthropy, because I felt a genuine connection with my (now) sisters when I went thru recruitment, & because I felt welcomed & wanted.
10 years from now, I'm not going to say, "z0mg mah house wuz totallee top/upper tier guiz!!!1" I'm going to tell whomever I'm speaking to about the joy I have experienced with my sisters, how hard we worked on our philanthropy, & the wonderful memories I have within my sorority.
I don't care if my house becomes ""bottom tier"". I care more about the empowerment of women. If another house takes the ""top""" spot from the ""top"" 3-4, then that's great news! It shows how hard that sorority has worked to overcome the many obstacles in their path!
PanHel shouldn't be about insulting each other over ""tiers"". We should be celebrating each & every sorority's accomplishments, even if that sorority is not our own. We should encourage progress & change.
I don't care if your house is ""the lowest of the low"" or ""the highest of the high"" -- I'm going to treat everyone with the respect & dignity they deserve. Maybe everyone who gives a flying fudge about some BS ""tiers"" should start doing the same as well.
