Sweeping the row has nothing to do with numbers and especially this recruitment! Chi O and DG had the highest return rate and got more of the girls they wanted than others. Phi Mu took 91 new members because they had less returning actives that Chi O, DG, and KD. All new member class numbers were based on the current size of the sorority, period. The only exception was ADPi who could have taken 120 but it didn't work. Phi Mu is telling people their quota was the similar to Chi O, DG, and KD and they took 91 because so many more girls wanted them. This is false! They took 91 because their chapter had fewer returning members than the 3 mentioned.

ADPi is trying to get as many girls as they can. They are offering snap bids and will COB and spring rush, but they can't control if girls are turning them down.

Ok op you sound uninformed as does 1st comment. You have no idea of 2 different sororities return rates. There are 8 sororities at Msu . Not tons. The entire day was dress up make believe from fireman to fairies. I don't think bringing a broom was embarrassing, considering the day. 82, 85, 91 ( no one cares but you) . A difference of 9 girls is not something to write home about. Stop trying to start drama and a VERY old argument. Phi Mu loves loves loves their 91 new members( all of whom they WANTED). Dg , I'm sure loves loves loves their 82 new members. They KNOW where they stand on campus. Not worried about you and your concerns about them, but you ,on the other hand, seem very worried about them. Move on with yourself and be happy with where you are, who you are, and whatever place you think your sorority is in. Not your place to try to correct what you think an entire sorority is doing or try to convince others to join your mindset. Go to class, where your own letters, be proud of your group. Oh yeah- will you claim your letters on here? or are you embarrassed?

I know the return rates of the two mentioned. Brooms are always embarrassing, every year, any group. I hate it when members of my group bring brooms.
9 girls? The difference with Chi O was 14. That was a big deal to their members who had to release girls who would normally be kept. Same for the 10 for DG and the 9 for KD.
Of course Phi Mu wanted their 91 but there is a good chance the larger 3 groups would have ended up with quite a few of them if they had not had to release them due to their larger release requirement.
Why don't we begin a new year without you bullying people to post their affiliation? It gets old.

Larger because new member class size was based solely on chapter size at the beginning of recruitment. I used "larger" so I I wouldn't have to type "Chi O, DG and KD multiple times.
You understand the bullying part...

To the person posting about ADPi. Don't speak about things you know nothing about. ADPi was given an opportunity to extend up to 120 bids. ADPi made releases all week as to ensure a quality pledge class and they have an awesome group of young women. If they COB, they will be just as strict.

Hey, this is who posted They did. I didn't say anything implying they didn't release girls, weren't strict, or weren't screening these girls they're still pledging. I answered the question someone asked, no more no less. I actually do know about it.

First off, the phi mu did not bully you first. It was YOU who threw false, mean statements. That's the definition of bullying. Also, you are the only one that saw a broom. I nor anyone else I've spoken to, which is a lot, never saw or heard of a broom being brought. Stop starting drama. You must be the same trouble stirrer that is always saying horrible and mean things about sororities on here. You sound stupid and are making an idiot if yourself. Do us a favor and go back to your hick town and grow up. Collegians don't act like you.

What false mean statements? I didn't write the original post but have commented concerning the return rates, reason for new member class size, and bullying. You may not have liked my comments on the reason Phi Mu had 91 but it's the truth, not a false statement and definitely not bullying. They took 91 due to the fact they had fewer members than Chi O, DG, and KD when recruitment began. I haven't made a negative comment about Phi Mu as a whole. The only negative comment I made was about any sorority bringing brooms. Dang!

When you say ADpi could have issued 120 bids but it didn't work, what does that mean? Why didn't they issue all that they could such as through snap bids to girls they'd previously released?
