short length?

So when picking out recruitment outfits, are 3 inch shorts appropriate or should I go for longer?

It all depends on the person. I have long legs so my perfect length is 4 inches, but those are hard to find. Just wear what you feel comfortable in. Don't try to be somebody you're not.
