Maybe if they had a genuine good rush instead of taking all the questionable reputation girls just because they're cute, they would be considered above Phi Mu but definitely not top tier.

Honestly very few people. They are a good group considering they have been on campus for 8 years. They seem like a close group and do fairly well in competitions. However The top tier groups have a long established, consistent pattern of winning competitions, top grades, great retention, honors, involvement, etc. Like it or not history is on the side of those houses. Chi O has been on campus over 75 years, Phi Mu right at 60. KD and DG around 40-45 years. I

This response is perhaps the most real response in years on Greek Rank. As a phi mu, I thank you for being honest. Every group has work to do to become great. We encourage our members to strive for the best they have to offer. I know all groups do this as well. I absolutely love our Greek community. Pi Phi has done extremely well in the years they have been here. All eight sororities are great and would be honored to have all PNMs join one of them! Find your home at Mississippi State!

Pi phi just had a lot of these kinds in their 2015 pledge class.

The only way Pi phi will be considered top is if state gets more sororities a But we can't have 5 top houses that doesn't make sense and non of the current top houses are going anywhere. It's also arguable that tri Delt is just right up there with Pi phi. Next year or the year after (depending on how big and competitive rush is this year) we may get AOPI which will change the ranks for sure. I think the ranks will look like this when we get a new house AND if Pi phi continues to excel. If tri Delt started getting more attractive girls they would probably be right up there too.
Top
chi o
dg
kd
Upper
Pi phi
phi mu
Mid
Tri Delt
zeta
Bottom
AOPI, ADPI

What do think would happen to make Chi O and KD that low? And why wouldn't it effect DG?

Not a Pi phi.. But if they continue to compete, have a little more involvement, and have a few more great rushes then I think the ranks could be:

ΧΟ- they will continue to be the best
ΔΓ- girls are different, but still sought after despite the lack of unity
ΚΔ- good girls but still have a handful being bad apples, good involvement though
ΠΦ- being so new, they are impressing others. I'm not sure what they did right that ΑΔΠ didn't do.
ΦΜ- have a reputation and are trying to change that
ΔΔΔ- are getting better but the girls don't stick out. Their house will make them more sought after
ΖΤΑ- mostly out of state girls that don't have people fighting for them during rush. Normally fairly attractive girls but don't have the best reputation
ΑΔΠ- got off on the wrong foot, are still so new, but have a chance of being a great asset to our Greek community

Do you even go here? Also the reason Pi phi ( also it's ΡΒΦ not ΡΦ) did so well was because when they colonized state was in dire need of a new chapter. So many quality girls going through and not enough houses. When ADPI colonized we really didn't need a new house at that point, so they literally were getting the bottom of the barrel. Typically the girls who would've gotten cut from all houses when we had 7 sororities, all went ADPI.

Really? Were you here when they colonized?? When there are 100+ member pledge classes then I'd say we need a new house

It's a Pi phi on here that is bored and trying to say they are better than they really are. LEFT OVERS!

Pi Phi will literally take any girl as long as they are cute. Bad reputation? Oh well. Grade risk? It's fine. Pi Phi will take you, but you must get more than 200 likes on your Instagram picture.

The name calling in here is horrendous! I re-read each post. I never saw where a phi mu, DG, or any other group called anyone anything. Why is this original poster all of a sudden blaming a phi mu for a post? I'm
Not defending phi mu---well I gues I'm defending anyone that is called out when there is no evidence to say otherwise. This post just sounded like a Pi phi bragging on her group!

I am happy you are proud of your sorority. We are equally happy In the top 4. We all worked hard in HS to have good grades, involvement, good reputations, and get our resumes for college in order. These things led us to obtaining a bid to a top sorority. Many of you in Pi Phi were not chosen to be in one of the top 4 groups due to a lack one of these things. Building a HS resume takes 4 years of hard work and being a nice person. Some of this year's Pi PHIS pledge class lacked the top grades needed. Also, some of the girls taken had some reputation issues that had them cut from top 4 groups. These things will not push Pi phi into a top tier. I know you want it to happen. There is no need to take your anger out on other sororities by calling names. Take a higher caliber of girl. This will help!!!

I think you mean top 3 groups. There is definitely not a top four.

Don't go into rush with these stereotypes. Your experience is what you make it. The house you like is what you like, forget the reputation because they change every day, every month and every year.
