addressing the hate

I'd like to take a moment to apologize to the PNMs that are coming here to find information on the houses before rush. What you are seeing here is not a good example of what sorority women are or should act like. Sororities are competitive and we all get defensive about our houses because we love them more than words can describe. No matter how much we love our houses, there is no excuse that can justify bashing another house and spreading so much hate. As sorority women we already are stamped with the "entitled" and "catty" stereotypes when in reality we are women who would lay down our lives for our sisters and give everything we have to see them succeed. When you read through this website please don't focus on the posts that only serve the purpose of tearing down another person. Rather, as you go through rush and become sorority women live a life of love and compassion. Love your sisters in your sorority but also love your Panhellenic sisters. Every house as something to give you just as you have something to give them. Show us how amazing and loving that you are because that is something that can't be faked. Be beautiful on the inside and don't get caught up on the outside. I can't wait for you to begin this journey and I can't wait to welcome you home.
