On pref night I went phi mu and a top house. Not knowing anyone from State I didn't know phi mu's rep and put them first on my pref list, because they told me how they had the most cheerleaders. THANK GOD I was cut by them that night, because I probably would have died of alcohol poisoning. Theses girls may think they are classy, but campus sees them differently.

Wow!!!! No she didn't list beauty did she? MAYBE it's because there are NO other groups at MSU as shallow and hung up on looks as Phi Mu! What a nice example you are setting for Phi Mu. "We are pretty!". That is the exact type of thought that keeps your group in 4th behind the big three that focus on recruiting young women for reasons more than beauty. I would guess that you are a freshman. Please think before you post ... you are only being a poor representative of Phi Mu.

does not consistently make quota. The homecoming maids this year were the first ones that Phi Mu has had in three years; DG, KD, and Chi O have menbers on the Court every year! DG, KD and Chi O have had numerous Miss MSUs over the past ten years. Phi Mu had less than 190 members when the top three groups have over 230 ... the two largest groups have 250 members. Once again, retaining members is CRUCIAL to having a top sorority. The fraternities have just as many swaps with KD, DG and Chi O. Phi Mu has an overall GPA lower than the other big 3 groups. KD won Limelight. Chi O won Derby Days. DG competed very well in all areas. Miss Mississippi State University is a Chi O. Now ... I think I gave enough examples to prove that Phi Mu is not a top group. They did have a good year but it was the first in a VERY long time. Consistency is the key to being a top group!!

I hope all of your members are happy. We will see next year whether or not many of this year's freshmen return. If it's like the past few years you will have 55 to 60 of the 83 returning. I hope for your sake that the trend can be reversed.

4th. You cannot keep members: 35 or 36 in all classes except freshmen. Poor grades. Little involvement on campus. Top houses keep members, have giod grades and are involved in campus. Come back with a good, honest argument to these and we might believe you.
