me sad to see some of the comments on here. I will be a soph. this year and I didn't choose DG during rush but two of my very close friends from high school did and I know they wouldn't say bad things about my sorority because we are still friends, so I couldn't say anything bad about DG. They get hated on for being intense, but I don't think it is as bad of a thing as everyone is making it seem. Pro's and cons to everything. The majority of girls in this house are really great, and I really hope no high schools girls are believing this site because it frames EVERYONE in a negative light. I wouldn't want anyone to believe the rumors posted on my sororities board trying to discourage girls from pledging, and I wouldn't want that for any other sorority either.

1 for popularity, they are very popular during rush but after that no one likes them but themselves.

they sure do deserve a lot of criticism. As individuals they are nice girls but if you get more than 3 in a room don't expect them to be nice to you. (unless your a sigma chi)

take things way to seriously. Sorority is not the rest of your life. You are also in college to get an education. They are willing to get in the way of that to make them the "top" house.

Just wondering if the PNM below had said wonderful things about DG if your response would be any different. DG's way of doing things are not well respected on campus. Instead of thinking everyone else is jealous, try asking around on campus to see what people really think.

on the comment below and ones left on other sororities boards about coming through Recruitment in August, I am doubting your story. It seems more like you are already in school here trying to appear "unbiased." The only way you would get an impression of being "do or die" in competitions is if you went here, or were told by girls in other sororities. Either way, you have too many opinions formed before Recruitment and need to go in with an open mind, OR stop posing as a PNM.

through recruitment in August. I know DG is a very popular group at MSU but I have not gotten the best impression of them on my visits there. I have a relative who is a DG in another chapter and she goes way overboard with her comments on how wonderful they are. Seems like they are always trying to prove themselves and can't just sit back and enjoy campus life. Everything is a do or die contest. That's not for me.
