Worst school in the SEC in so many many areas. Don’t go here unless you have to. It is the definition of what everyone thinks about when they think of Mississippi 💩

Just do not go to school at State. Community college is better than this school.

Must be a WASP to get in. Important to remember it’s rural Mississippi. Not a lot of sophistication.

very small party life. if you arent from mississippi and dont have major connections you wont get a “top” sorority house. very hard making friends since its like 13th grade for all the people from mississippi. no hazing for sororities but a different story for the frats.

Go to a real SEC school if u want that experience… msu is an extremely small school in an even smaller town with one bar without a liquor license that u even have a chance of being able to go to under 21. cops and abc swarm it and frat row too. the mandatory sorority dorm housing is in a 60 year old dorm with disgusting community bathrooms/ showers. night life and party scene is little to nothing and its just boring. if u dont have all ur bestfriends going here i would not recommend it at all i wish someone told me this.

It’s nothing compared to ole miss or alabama in the slightest possible. Everyone from the same hometowns and honestly it’s extremely hard rushing from out of state and making a friend group. If you dont have serious connections or know people you wont get a “top house” most likely. it’s kinda sad how cliquey it is even inside the sororities.
