rushing as a northerner.

I was accepted to GSU for next fall and I plan on going through rush. I am originally from the south but moved up north to Connecticut when I was young. Everyone in my family went to big SEC schools and were in sororities so I can get plenty of recs. I was just wondering is it hard to rush at GSU if you are from the north? Ive heard many rumors so just hoping someone will clarify for me!
