Gpa while rushing

My highschool gpa has always been decent and well above a 3.0, however my GSU gpa and the one I registered for rush is a 2.83. Will I still have a shot at getting a bid with that? Is there anyway to show my GSU gpa doesn’t reflect my true grades? My counselor believes it is because I’m from out of state and so some of my credits don’t transfer/weigh the same. Should I consider rushing spring instead?

sororities only look at your GPA during icebreakers, each one has a different minimum GPA requirement. Once you get past icebreakers, sororities are only going to focus on if you are the type of person they would want. 2.83 is quite low which will limit your options
