Is rushing even worth it

by:

Hey everyone, I am from Florida, and I have no friends or connections at GSU. I really want to rush but I’m scared I’ll be dropped instantly for being unknown. My GPA is 3.6, I have 300 volunteer hours from HS, I was involved in 4 years of 2 varsity sports, and I have 3 recs for each sorority, good conversationalist, and nice personality. PLEASE be brutally honest. Could I land a top or mid or will I be instantly dropped. If this even matters at GSU I guess I look like a stereotypical sorority girl (I hate how that sounds to even say that lol)

please please please rush!!!! of course having connections in sororities can help your chances but not knowing anyone does not get you automatically dropped. i know so many girls who came out of state knowing no one and ended up in top/middle houses. you have an excellent gpa and involvement so you should be good to go. the whole purpose of greek life is to make new friends and meet all kinds of new people, so the fact that you don’t know anyone I promise you will not effect your chances at all. keep and open mind and the girls that you love will love you back. don’t let the specifics of this process get to you, and don’t over think it, the majority of girls who rush end up very happy and find their forever home!!!!!

I haven’t committed to a school yet... I am on disability scholarship so I don’t have to decide officially until June. I am just seeing my options when it comes to greek life.

Being brutally honest in asking, does your disability manifest in causing you to uncontrollably come to different school’s pages and lie about your status as a committed student to four different colleges?
