So by reading several of these post it sounds like getting into a sorority is going to be much harder this time. Is that true?

This sounds harsh but last year PNMs who only had DPHie left usually dropped out of recruitment. This year will depend on the quota number.

No. If you do not have a place with any other chapter, they will drop you. If you don’t like DPHIE, you don’t have to waste their time. If you do, you can go to the events. If they bid you, ithey like you, not that you are a warm body they have to take.

they participate in values based voting. they give bids to anyone who their sisters didn’t have a bad experience with. they have to, not for numbers but unless they do not fit the values, you’re in.
the only way to not be a dpe is to choose not to be.

Maybe I will get a bid from another sorority. One is my new roommates is in another sorority. Maybe that will help my chances.
