I hear DPhiE's membership is constantly on the decline since Fall recruitment. They cannot even fill the number of beds available in that house because not even their own sisters will live in the house. No one will associate with them on Greek Row. This is not the sorority for Southern girls, especially not Georgia Southern girls. They have no Southern values, but try to force their own immoral values on their new pledges. If you do not go along with how they live and what they believe, you are considered a traitor. They do not like their new pledges associating with ANY other sorority house or fraternity brothers. They like your money, but they do not like you. They believe in diversity just as long as your values do not differ from theirs. HOW HYPOCRITICAL!

what are their immoral values?

There is a long list of immoral values strongly encouraged by DPhiE, but the one that bothered me the most was the underage drinking. All the girls are strongly encouraged to participate in drinking at socials so much so that the sorority asks for designated drivers to take the girls back to their apartments after they have consumed alcohol which they are not even old enough to purchase. The other big problem with DPhiE is their disregard for the worship of God on Sunday mornings. DPhiE makes their girls report to the house for meetings not just on Sundays after church and in the evenings, but there are many Sunday morning meetings which are required and take place during Sunday School and morning worship hours. DPhiE has no respect for the law or God. That sorority is no place for law abiding citizens or Christians.

I am a newly initiated DPhiE member, and we certainly did have several Sunday morning meetings which began @11:00. I am having a very difficult time seeing all these posts, and some girls calling them unfounded. This sorority did accept me, probably because I am brunette, but this house is really testing my faith. There is underage drinking and the foul language is absolutely ridiculous.

dude theres 100% other reasons why other sororities didn't want you and I promise its not the color of your hair. if you went to a house just cause your hair isn't blonde then you just need to drop because you're in greek life for the wrong reasons.

Those meetings are called new member meetings where you learn about the sorority and become educated on the sororities morals founders and secrets you should know that :)

Newly initiated member: speak your mind. If you feel it is innapropriate to have Sunday morning meetings, tell them. Chances are someone else feels the same way and especially when it comes to religious purposes, they are likely to listen to you and make some changes. Also, make your own opinions of DPhiE instead of reading all the trolls on here.

Filling the beds in the house: I have friends in multiple different sororities who have told me they don’t want to live in their house. That’s not specific to DPhiE.

As for the “immoral values” and the rest of your comments: personally I don’t agree, but why do you think this stuff only goes on in DPhiE? With 7 other sororities I wouldn’t be surprised if one doesn’t force their beliefs on their pledges and hell will freeze over before there’s a sorority that doesn’t have underage drinking or older sisters buying drinks. You’re not describing DPhiE, you’re describing Greek life.

Thanks for coming to my ted talk
