most welcoming
by: ?????OK, as long as we're at it, which houses are most welcoming to out of state students? To small-town girls? To St. Louis girls? To K.C. girls? To nursing students? To journalism students? To business students? I've heard, and a recent post sort of confirms that PiPhi, for example, has a lot of out of state girls and I also have heard that TriDelt is a big St.Louis house. Are there others?

PiPhi's out of state girls come primarily from Kansas City. So yes, they are out fo state-Kansas-but they still recruit all of their friends. And yes, Tri Delt is known as the continuation of high school for those from St Louis. I think any other house you choose has such a variation of out of state schools, there is no need o worry. Go in with an open mind!!

First off, pi phi does not take a lot of kc girls. There's a handful of them, but not A LOT. They have a good mix of girls from a lot of different places. I notice a lot of California/Texas girls in this house.
Second, Kansas City is still Missouri. Kcmo. So that doesn't count. Unless we're talking from the Overland Park area.

Alpha Phi and KD seem to have a lot of girls from small-town Missouri. AXO, ADPi and PiPhi have lots of out-of-state girls. Those three houses seem the least likely to pledge according to who you already know in the house. Kappa has a bunch of Chicago girls who seemed to know each other ahead of time. TriDelt's St. Louis girls are as cliquey now as they were in h.s. I don't really know about the others.

I'm from OOS and I felt instantly welcome at Theta, PiPhi, AXO, XO and ADPi. At each of these houses as rush went on, more often than not I spoke with other girls from outside of Missouri and really made a connection. On the last day I had three great houses and was paired in each case with someone both from out of state and in my major. No wonder I had a tough time deciding. My pledge class is almost half from out of state, I think.
