If you're lucky sigma might take you as a grade risk but that's pushing it tbh

I have a 3.3 gpa and I've been told by lots of people on this sight that my chances aren't that great

Lol don't listen to them! It's Mizzou, we don't have astounding GPAs here all around. You'll absolutely get in, your GPA is higher than 50% of our sororities GPAs and only .1 below our top gpa. People on here are insecure and like to act like their sororities are so prestigious but truth is, while our Greek system is great, grades are not the highlight and the majority of girls get bids. @OP that is a little low, you still have a chance in some houses and it's worth a shot but if you expect that you might struggle with grades at mizzou (I don't want to judge - maybe you had a rough year personally, it happens) then I would recommend putting rush off for a year. Beneficial in two ways, if you do better in your first year here your GPA won't end up holding you back.

Are you truly equating high school GPA with college GPA? I'm not saying this to be rude, just honest: my house wouldn't consider someone with a 2.8 or a 3.3 high school GPA. Let's remember that there are all sorts of schools that hand out A's without any effort at all, especially in St. Louis. Among the more competitive Chicago suburban high schools we might consider a 3.3 as a grade risk IF she had mainly honors and AP classes her junior and senior years and an ACT score above 28.

I'm in 3rd year accountancy and have been getting better grades in college than I did in hs so yes, I did compare the two. It's all about drive and motivation and if you had in hs you have it in college... This girl was told she would have a tough time getting a bid at all, maybe Theta and XO would drop her because of the 3.3 but that is pretty much it.

My house would never consider someone with a 2.8 and we would only invite someone with a 3.3 back if she had mainly AP classes at a competitive h.s. Or if she was a legacy, we would be required to ask her back once. Sorry. But if you didn't learn how to study in high school you probably aren't going to help your sorority's GPA in college.

You sad little losers who take pride in not letting in 3.3 GPAs into your houses. Except if the girls is pretty and rich you'd give her a bid.. Truth

Most sororities have a 3.0 as the minimum GPA. Some even have a higher minimum. Sigma MIGHT take you but they hage been doing better, so they might not. Plus you will be competing with lots of other girls who's GPAs will be above the 3.0 mark or have outstanding GPAs. I'm sorry but in Mizzou's very competitive rush, unless if you are a legacy or interested in Sigma it's not very likely you will get a bid.
