You are not required to go to any parties or any events that serve alcohol. First, I think it's important to clarify that all sorority cannot serve, provide or possess any alcohol in the house. All events held by a sorority cannot have alcohol provided by them. The only instance where you'll go to a sorority event and there is alcohol is a social where the venue its being held at is serving alcohol to people who are 21+. A sorority will never throw a "party" you'll have date parties (which are socials held at a venue), but those are completely different. If you actually want to party fraternities throw them Thursday's-Saturday's, but by no means will you be required to go to those. Sure a lot of your sorority sisters will go party, but if that's not your scene you don't have to take part in it. I know girls who have never gone to a fraternity for anything but homecoming or Greek week related activities, and I know some who spend the night at fraternities on a regular basis. it all depends on how you wanna live your life. Now there are required events for your sorority, don't you worry. You have to go to all of your new member meetings, philanthropy events, homecoming/greekweek events, chapter, recruitment workshops, retreats and more. A sorority can be a busy time commitment, so be prepared. I always find myself annoyed when I hear about girls dropping their sorority because they didn't like going to events and being required to do stuff. You should expect this all.

Can I just say something here that drives me crazy? By the time you ^^^^^ are in college you should know how to pluralize a word -- and it's not with apostrophes. When people talk about how embarrassing this website is, it's in part because people use words like "Thursday's" and "Saturday's." Cringe.
