let's give it a rest
by: EnoughIn the recent past we have had people telling huge lies about what race they are as a way of justifying their narrow-minded comments. Let's give it a rest., because nothing will be solved on this website. Simply put, if you aren't proud to attend this school, leave. If you are scared to attend, don't. If you are proud of how far Mizzou has come, let others know how great this school is. But let's not lie about being Vietnamese or biracial or a high school student from Cali or whatever simply to prove some obscure point. Enough is enough.

I agree with most of what you are saying, after all, this is a Greek Rank website. I'm not sure how you know people are lying. I think for the most part people are fed up with what happened in the Fall and a lot of the support was lost. I wouldn't assume it is white people pretending to be something they are not. But, yes, let's give it a rest.

Chill. I participated n the protests in the Fall. Many of us who did are fed up with the outcome(and what we now see was the purpose) of the protests and concerned student lost our support. I love my school and like many others regret getting involved in a cause that ended up being pointless and harmful to our campus. So relax and stop trying to control not only peoples opinions on this board but who attends this school. Chill

This is the last that I will comment on this. Pointless because all it accomplished was making this university a national joke and furthering one student's own political agenda. That protest backfired in so many ways and ultimately ended up hurting so many. It did more harm than good. A true leader would have handled it in a far more professional manner. So many had regrets after getting sucked into the hoopla. Staff , students , so many regrets on looking back.
And now why don't you, the person who claims to know the race of everyone on this board and the person who feels the need to weed students out of this campus take your own advice and GIVE IT A REST.

To If-You seem to know everything don't you? And it looks like you made an assumption there,again, by accusing someone of not having support for their school when really you didn't read the post completely. Why so defensive even with people who agree with you?

@If, just because someone is upset with the state of things at their school, why would you suggest that they leave? Isn't that what started all of this, people who weren't happy with their school and wanted things to change? No one suggested that they be "taken by the hand" and shown how to withdrawal from MU. It is called freedom of speech and that includes all sides of an issue, even the ones that you may not agree with or understand.

If you are fed up and have lost support for this school, let me take you by the hand and show you how to withdraw. There is no reason in the world for some disgruntled student to spread half-truths about the progress being made on this campus. Truly, give it a rest.
