grades
by: GirlThis has gotten ridiculous, everyone is chewing out aphi and Gphi bc of bad grade aphi is at what like a 3.2? While theta is at what Just over a 3.4. That puts aphi at a B average and theta at a B+ average. The difference between grades are a measly plus sign. Yes aphi slipped up this semester it's very clear. But are you trying to tell me that no other house has ever slipped up? Maybe it wasn't as public as this but you are all trying to make it sound like you're house is perfect. Why are we not all encouraging each other to do better next semester? Compared to other Greek systems at other schools our grades do not even compare. So why are we not all encouraging better grades and better behavior. I know if I was a pnm now and reading this I would be nervous about joining a house consider all the mean hateful things that have been said here. Panhellenic love ladies!

While you're right, no one cares. All anyone cares about is status and rank. When your house is ranked 12th out of 15 for grades, that doesn't sound good! It doesn't sound good to other chapters, and it doesn't sound good to PNMs. That's why the competition between chapters for grades exists. Everyone wants to claim top 5 in grades, but only 5 houses are able to do so. It sucks when you fall short, oh well, move on.

Take it from a lifelong straight A student, pnms DO NOT care about your GPA. Wait that's a lie. I specifically did not want a house with a super high cutoff because I knew I'd easily get the chapters scholarship if I went with a house that had all the qualities I wanted less grades. And guess what that's exactly what happened... That's truly the only way I worried that my sorority's GPA would affect me and I can now attest that was true. What's more concerning is the houses with 3.7 cutoffs whose GPAs have now slipped to a poor 3.4. For me, my grades went from 92s to 98 and 100s and I'm in a competitive program (business.) I've found college easier to excel at (more work but much more motivation) because I love what I do. Maybe you guys should be a little more concerned about your disinterest in your silly arts program rather than sitting around bragging about your B averages. ADPi.
